Adding embroidery to just about anything is bound to make it look pretty and delicately rustic, even if it's metal objects embellished with embroidery designs. Imagine how pretty everyday objects such as shovels, buckets and spoons would look with embroidery designs, especially if they're designed with cultural and historical crafting techniques.
Not just going for traditional floral designs, Lithuanian-based artist Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė embroiders her artwork with detailed cross stitch designs on the most random of metal objects. It may render some of the objects difficult to use, but who cares when they look that good.
Even though there are a lot of floral motifs, most of the designs also feature the artist's sense of humor like her piece that embroiders cigarettes in an ashtray and the reflection of a mouth on a spoon.
