Artist Delcy Morelos unveils El Abrazo, which is an art exhibition comprised of two site-centric sculptures that are meant to evoke a sacred connection to the soil. It is on display in New York's Dia Chelsea and the setting is dimly lit with the subtle aroma of cinnamon and clove from the soil.
Starting with the Cielo Terrnal room, which also means Heavenly Earth, is a large room that has black soil and other objects. The middle is a pathway for visitors to walk through and venture in the dark. The second room is dubbed The Embrace, which is El Abrazo -- it has a soil structure that appears to be soil lifting up form the ground with hay pieces inserted.
