The 'FreeFlow' Drive Offers An Unmatched Power-To-Weight Ratio

— April 8, 2022 — Tech
FreeFlow Technologies, a Scotland-based startup that is developing solutions that combine the advantages of e-bikes with the appearance and riding experience of conventional bicycles, has launched a compact new e-bike drive system that achieves a spectacular power-to-weight ratio that makes it possible for the product to be eased into bottom brackets of bikes.

The eponymous FreeFlow e-bike drive system weighs between 2.5 and 3.5 kg, but is capable of churning out up to 290 watts of peak power. Due to this excellent power-to-weight ratio, this e-bike drive system is capable of offering assisted speeds of up to 25 km/h, with a charging time of only four to five hours for its battery.

What's more, these features are all promised within a relatively compact system that can easily be used in conjunction with bicycle frames without getting in the way of your pedaling.
