Imagine being able to transform the look of a room -- without paint or wallpaper -- in a matter of seconds. A prototype for e ink walls was revealed at CES 2015, inspiring awe and imagination in everyone who witnessed the technology in action. Created by the company behind the Kindle ereader, these Dynamic Architecture Wall Tiles can display one color or another, taking no time to switch and satisfying one's preference of the moment.
The squared panels of 16 inches wide can be mounted over any wall surface in a large grid that syncs into one cohesive, hi-tech mural. The user would be able to design his or her own space with solid colors and even patterns, allowing for a complete refresher whenever desired. The e ink wall tiles aren't terribly eco-unfriendly either. You can switch them off when you're satisfied with the design and they will keep their look without drawing power.
