Dodge Logo Redesign Separates Cars & Trucks, Emphasizes Performance

Chrysler has decided to split up the branding of its Dodge cars and trucks, and the images above reflect the respective Dodge logo redesign. The lead image features two red racing stripes placed at an angle to the Dodge insignia; those stripes are meant to evoke the performance aspect of Dodge cars.

If you take a look at the microsite dedicated to Dodge trucks, however, the preferred branding is Ram Trucks--few references are made to Dodge. In splitting up the company's branding, the Dodge logo redesign was the next logical move to reshape the perception of Dodge cars.
