The Redesigned 'Doctor Manzana' Uses a Garish Color Scheme

Tech repair shops are more readily associated with flickering fluorescent bulbs and claustrophobic basements than they are with elegant, playful design, but in terms of appearance, 'Doctor Manzana' is closer to an Apple Store than it is a sketchy vendor. The newly refurbished phone repair shop in Valencia's University district was designed by local studio Masquespacio, and it uses a gaudy color scheme reminiscent of the late eighties and nineties.

There are three core colors that make up the space in the new Doctor Manzana shop: salmon pink, metallic silver, and teal. The teal is a new addition for this location, which is the second franchise in Valencia. The pink and silver colors are rigidly opposed to one another at 54-degree angles, which is a reference to the angle at which users hold their smartphones.
