The 'Alana Jones-Mann' blog has created a recipe for DIY Rice Krispie treats that mimic familiar summer snacks. From the outside, these treats appear to be classic childhood ice cream flavors. However, upon closer inspection it is clear that these delicious snacks are actually made of Rice Krispies cereal.
The deceptive DIY Rice Krispie treats may look complicated, but they are actually simple to put together. To begin, you will need all the ingredients used to make traditional Rice Krispies, as well as colored candy melts, white chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips. Begin by following the standard recipe for Rice Krispies, but add your mixture to popsicle molds instead of a pan. Place a popsicle stick into each of the molds and then leave them in the fridge to set. After about 15 minutes, remove your treats from the molds and decorate using melted chocolate. You can design your treats to resemble classic popsicle flavors or your can customizes them to make an original design.
