Whimsical Botanical Street Lights

Dan Corson Has Created Incredible Flowery Installations

Instead of having boring, typical street lights, Dan Corson wanted to create unusual street art that takes your breath away.

In a series entitled Sonic Boom, Corson has transformed street lights in Seattle into stunning sculptures. These lights are incredibly tall and they are painted in bright colors such as green, red and blue.

Other than the incredible technical skill, and the oddity of seeing street lamps in the shape of flowers, the petals are also a noteworthy feature. Corson has painted the petals with photo-voltaic cells. These cells make the petals shimmer in the colors that they were painted.

These light installations by Dan Corson has brightened up the area of Seattle that they are in, and they are a great way to attract attention to your city.
