Frito-Lay's Doritos brand is launching a new contest, named 'Crash from Home,' which will encourage people to participate in the newest commercial from Doritos. The 'Crash from Home' contest is being promoted on the company's social media accounts with the hashtag #CrashFromHome, and people can enter the contest until July 28th.
Contest winners will be included in the upcoming ad, which will air during the first NFL Sunday Night Football broadcast on September 13th. Winners will also receive portion of the $150,000 prize.
The contest may be successful, as it leverages user-generated content which fosters authentic connections between consumers and a brand. Additionally, many consumers could be motivated to participate due to the large prize.
