As much as corn on the cob is a favorite fall fair food, this year, the Iowa State Fair mixed things up by serving corn in a cup.
On top of corn shavings, the snack was paired with a generous heap of mayonnaise, chorizo, cheese, a sprinkle of a spicy "magic dust" and a wedge of lime on the side. Since some of these ingredients simply wouldn't stay put on a stick, eating out of the cup provides the opportunity for new flavor combinations to be discovered.
The alternative to corn on the cob makes a tasty fall dish that could forever be invented by swapping out different types of cheese, spices and crunchy toppings.
