Contactless Beverage Machines

Coca-cola Created Contactless Technology for Its Freestyle Fountains

Coca-Cola is integrating contactless technology to the brand's Freestyle beverage machines in order to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. The contactless technology can be accessed by a QR code that the Freestyle machine will display. The QR code can be scanned, and from there, customers can select their beverage order. Additionally, consumers can complete the transaction without needing to download a new app.

Coca-Cola indicates that the technology will be used in over 10,000 different machines in the near future, and in all Freestyle machines before the end of 2020.

Overall the technology shows that Coca-Cola is creating proactive solutions to allow consumers to continue to use the machines while protecting themselves from COVID-19.
