Matias Ferrari designs the new Conicent Chair, which is a furniture system that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. It rests on a conical foundation and evokes a majestic design language with curvaceous lines and overall structure.
The chair has minimal design language as the front half takes a chopped conical look and makes the top drop inside, appearing as if it is caving in on itself. This allows the smaller cone inverted inside as the surface for sitting with the addition of cushions to make it more comfortable. Without the cushion, it is suitable for outdoor environments. The semi-circle base allows the chair to have a vast amount of stability and support is added under with a trapezoidal shape.
