Over the years, a variety of public figures have created their own custom shoes with the aid of Los Angeles-based handcrafted shoe company COMUNITYmade, including professional athletes, artists and actors. To support the local economy and create manufacturing job opportunities in the city, COMUNITYmade is offering its custom shoe program to the general public.

With an appointment, a shoe lover is able to consult with a custom shoe concierge—either in-person at COMUNITYmade's showroom in downtown LA or virtually via video chat. This process helps customers realize their dream shoes with high-quality, sustainably sourced materials. Once all aspects of the design have been finalized, the custom shoes are manufactured by craftspeople in Los Angeles.

According to COMUNITYmade's Shannon Scott, "There's really no limit to the imagination and we like to push ourselves to see what can be done."
