Campus Robotic Delivery Services

Grubhub and Wonder Launched Its College Robot Delivery

Grubhub partnered with Serve Robotics to bring time-outside-college robot delivery to Chicago, Los Angeles, and Alexandria, marking the companies’ first collaboration. The expansion builds on Grubhub’s earlier robotic delivery efforts outside college campuses and extends autonomous delivery to more mainstream urban markets.

As part of the rollout, Wonder’s Potomac Yard location in Alexandria will offer delivery through Serve robots, making it the first Wonder location outside New Jersey to provide a robotic delivery option. Grubhub and Serve also introduced Chomp, a hamburger-themed robot mascot created through Serve Advertising’s Characters product, which supports branded visual identities and conversational AI personalities for delivery robots.

For customers, the partnership expands access to contactless, automated food delivery while giving Grubhub and Wonder another way to improve delivery efficiency. The rollout reflects the broader move from campus-based robot pilots toward larger urban delivery networks.
