Drone Delivery Networks

Uber and Zipline International Will Scale Drone Delivery Nationwide

Uber and Zipline International announced a strategic partnership for drone delivery, with Uber Eats customers expected to receive orders via autonomous drones later this year as the companies target one million drone deliveries per day by the end of 2029. Uber will make a strategic investment in Zipline, combining its hybrid delivery network, spanning couriers and sidewalk robots, with Zipline's ultra-fast, precise drone technology.

Zipline has already completed more than 2.7 million deliveries across four continents, flown more than 135 million autonomous miles and served more than 5,000 hospitals, saving an estimated 12,000 lives annually through medical delivery.

The partnership will extend that infrastructure to hundreds of thousands of small businesses on Uber's platform, delivering everyday items in five to 10 minutes.
