Parisian brand Koché channels the talents of eyewear designer Thierry Lasry on the label's latest Cobalt line. The collection is comprised of a selection of sunglasses, which originally made its debut at the label's Spring/Summer 2019 runway show. Each piece is constructed by hand in France using premium acetate materials drawn from Mazzucchelli, an Italian manufacturing company. The eyewear in the Cobalt line are flat-fronted and boast a juxtaposing inspiration of futuristic design elements and an 80s influence.
The name of the label is inspired by the superhero named 'Cobalt Man' and it translates through the structure and clean cut of the sunglasses' frames. Founder Christelle Kocher explained that a special technique was used to create the unconventional shape "on top of the glasses: cut and beveled."
