While working on his 'On Thin Ice' series to document climate change, Ciril Jazbec captured some amazing cinema photography from a night in Greenland at an unusual outdoor movie theatre. Movie theatres have a reputation for being a little bit chilly, but the theatre captured in these photos has got to be one of the world's chilliest.
Cinema On Ice captures images of a night photographer Jazbec attended a movie night where the movie was projected onto a giant block of ice. Preparation for the event took several days, since it required locating a generator, sound system and a DVD player. If the movie proved too boring, moviegoers could simply set their gaze skyward and opt to watch the northern lights instead.
