An immersive climate change installation was nominated as one of the Top 100 finalists for the prestigious CODAaward. The large-scale multi-media experience takes up 6,000 square feet at TheMuseum, a family-oriented institution in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON, Canada.
The immersive climate change installation combines sculpture and installation (Richard Watts and Crowe River Studio Ltd.), film and video installation (Kai Reimer-Watts and Better Creative), tapestry and fiber arts (Ixchel Suarez and The Canadian Tapestry and Texture Centre), and animation (Abhilasha Dewan and Better Creative) to bring this experience to life. The show creates a type of "life journey," whilst stimulating a feeling of being suspended in time. The exhibition is aiming to entertain and educate visitors, while bringing one's attention to pressing environmental issues.
Public voting for the People's Choice Award is open from June 20th to June 30th.
