After debuting gold-covered chocolate bars and rose petal-topped variations, the nestle-owned bars are debuting an indulgent chocolate cake Kit Kat.
The 'Kit Kat Chocolatory Gateau Mignon' introduces a new texture to the well-known bars, by adding a soft piece of chocolate cake inside the top layer, above the wafer. Yasumasa Takagi, the pastry chef responsible for this luxurious treat allegedly took over one year perfecting the recipe. This deluxe confection will be available through the newly re-opened flag-ship chocolatory boutique in Tokyo's popular Ginza district. The small store is famous for featuring upscale variations of the classic bar, including a Kit Kat Parfait.
This upscale variation of the popular chocolate bar represents the growing market for over-indulgent and limited edition treats that satisfy a foodie's appetite for unique food-related experiences.
