Atlas Kitchen is a newly opened contemporary Chinese eatery, located on the Upper West Side in New York City. The restaurant exudes impeccable interior design and a business model that is strongly informed by art. The concept for Atlas Kitchen came about from the collaborative efforts between private art collector Haocheng Sun, Dong Chen and artist Qiu Anxiong. Globally recognized, the contemporary creative has exhibited works at MoMA, the Met, the Brooklyn Museum, etc.

The Chinese eatery embraces a modern aesthetic — arranged by New Practice Studio. Its luxe interior is informed by one of China's oldest myths — 'The Classics of Mountains and Seas.' Qiu Anxiong happens to have a piece that offers a contemporary conceptual exploration of the myth and Atlas Kitchen communicates this in its main dining room in the form of a beautifully painted mural.
