In light of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s engagement, Trend Hunter’s Jaime Neely talks about some unusual celebrity products inspired by the Kardashians. From accessories to medical procedures, this family started a chain reaction of trends.
MasterCard teamed up with the Kardashians in 2010 offering a special edition credit card. As many might presume, the cards were quickly taken off the market for being too provocative and generally a bad idea. For another example, the Kardashian silly bands were another product that came out targeted to youth. The silly band trend was really popular among high school kids and the Kardashians made their own line of the product. A really funny product an Etsy user made was a ring with Kim’s crying face on it. It was creative, funny and simple.
Out of all the items Jaime Neely came across, the most bizarre and unusual Kardashian trend was the blood facial. Two vials of blood were taken from the celebrity and injected back into her face. The celebrity even took pictures of her face covered in her own blood.
These celebrity products are certainly bizarre but for fans of celebrities, it’s like taking a step into their glamorous world.
