Pets will find a way to make themselves at home in just about any dwelling but Felissimo worked with rental condo developer Wada Kosan to create designs that are not just cat-friendly homes but specifically made for cats. The two-storey homes are lined with stands along the walls to support a cat's natural desire to climb and explore, and equipped with cat-sized doors and reinforced screen doors that can withstand being clawed.
The cat-friendly rental homes include plenty of spots for cats to hide, extra storage space for pet products and accessories, as well as a kitchen area that's sealed off to keep pets safely away from food and flames—although the design does include a lockable window panel so that cats can still peek in on kitchen activity.
