The adult-friendly push button ignition makes the lighter easy to use, but also features the patented child-resistant mechanism that exceeds Consumer Product Safety Commission requirements.

The Scripto Birthday Candle Lighter is priced at $2.79 each and are also great for lighting other kinds of candles, which could include ones with a recessed wick that is harder to reach with a conventional lighter to enhance safety.
