While cauliflower has become the go-to veggie for gluten-free alternatives, Trader Joe's new Butternut Squash Pizza Crust may make you reconsider.
Similar to it's popular cauliflower-based crust, Trader Joe's new Butternut Squash Pizza Crust is a low-carb, gluten-free pizza crust option. instead of wheat flour, the crust is made from butternut squash, corn flour, olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Because of its slightly sweet flavor, Trader Joe's suggests pairing the crust with its TJ's Autumnal Harvest Sauce, TJ's Swiss & Gruyère Shredded Cheese Blend, and a bit of TJ's organic sage for a festival fall take on homemade pizza.
Only available for the fall season, Trader Joe's new Butternut Squash Pizza Crust is a welcome substitute for cauliflower crust.
