Chiquita has launched a promotion that will give branded prices to Spotify users. The branded prizes can be accessed through scanning banana stickers, in order to access playlists, as well as five different remixes of the company’s original song dating back to the 1950s. The playlist can also be differentiated by mood, with a ‘feel happy playlist, or a ‘smile workout’ playlist.
Additionally, the company launched a ‘Golden Banana’ brand sticker that allows customers to access games and prizes.
Overall putting scannable codes on merchandise is a creative way to engage customers through promotions and offering prizes and playlists could entice a number of consumers to choose Chiquita items over other competing companies. Offering a streaming playlist can also entice younger consumers.
