For example, the color red (seen in the logos of YouTube and Red Bull) is said to represent emotion, passion, intensity and an active lifestyle. Blue is associated with calm, trust and understanding and is favored by corporate and business services logos. Meanwhile yellow is subconsciously said to be associated with sunshine and represents energy and joy, making it a good fit for Ferrari and McDonald's.
The infographic also contains interesting factoids about some of the brand logos we see everyday. For instance, the artist who designed Twitter's original logo is said to have received $6 for his efforts. On the other end of the scale, the BBC spent $1.8 million on logo design efforts when it redesigned its logo in 1997.
