The bimoz is an innovative bicycle motor, made in Switzerland, that is not only exceptionally unobtrusive but also weighs very little, weighing in at only 4.3 pounds.
This particular motor is capable of pumping out 250 watts of power. It is powered by a lithium-polymer battery pack, with a hard-wired remote control on the handlebar giving the rider the ability to control the amount and extent of pedal assistance. The motor uses a torque sensor to measure the rider's own pedaling force before augmenting it with a good electric boost.
The secret behind the motor's light weight is its use of a unique electromagnetic system that reduces friction as well as weight.
This bicycle motor does not offer a throttle-only setting, making it perfect for people who want to be pedaling at all times but don't mind being helped along by an electrical boost from time to time.
