If you’re a biking enthusiast, you’ll love Tokyo’s new transportation museum design that features a Bicycle Culture Center.
The Bicycle Culture Center is located in Tokyo’s Science Museum in Kitanomaru Park and was designed to celebrate the city’s key mode of transport. The new space is designed in a unique way that displays everything to do with cycling from the antique bicycles to the modern gear—it also pays homage to the history of bicycles.
Designed by Yuki Shibata + katosumiyoshi architects, the 233 meter-squared space is full of biking memorabilia, books, magazines and anything related to the two-wheel sport. What makes the center so novel and interesting is how the architects were able to fuse everything cycling-related and bright and modern to create a visually appealing space.
