A crooked backdrop in Berlin has proven to be the ideal surface for a bent iPhone billboard. The iPhone 6 Plus has been greatly criticized and lampooned in the media lately, for its unintended capacity to be warped in one's pocket.
It seemed to be a perfect opportunity for a Berlin campaign to choose misshapen and curved ad spots on which to advertise the new slim handset, acknowledging the flaw of the product and celebrating the humor in it. While this unexpected feature certainly isn't a perk of the Apple smartphone, consumers will continue to buy it, and even satirical posters will be successful in boosting sales. In addition to bent iPhone billboards, a Dutch KPN demo uses distorted surfaces to promote the malleable device in-store.
