A new series of beer advertisements from Japanese beer brand Kirin have been shot in an unusual format that's meant to give viewers a taste for what it's like to be a can of beer.
These voyeuristic advertisements for Nodogoshi beer are shot in a vertical format that mimics the tall shape of the beer can. This deliberate shooting style also makes each video easy for watching with a smartphone when it is held in the same upright way.
At the online site for the campaign, 'Can Shiten' reveals a peek at the life of four different Nodogoshi beer consumers. The aim of the campaign seems to be to present the alcoholic beverage as something that can be enjoyed by a range of people, including young professionals, serious businessmen and hip metropolitans.
