IKEA's future living lab — also known publically as SPACE10, has released a series of images that depict the autonomous vehicle interiors of the future. Cleverly dubbed 'Spaces on Wheels,' the project turns to automobile manufacturing and envisions the comfort and efficiency of self-driving cars to a higher degree.
The belief is that once the technology is perfected, guaranteed to be safe and completely trusted by the public, autonomous vehicle interiors can become small spaces that can be arranged in certain ways to serve a function. SPACE10's project includes seven concepts — an office, a cafe, a farm, a playroom, a hotel, a shop, and a space for healthcare. These imaginative takes on autonomous vehicle interiors can be explored in virtual reality in the future living lab's app.
