The Volvo Space Concept Can Fly, Swim, and Drive

The Volvo Space is no bigger than the size of a shed and yet performs three different travel methods with ease. Docking mobility modules give users the freedom to transform the transportation device at their leisure. It flies like a quadcopter, treads through the water as seamlessly as a speed boat, and handles road commute like other lounge vehicle concepts.

The practical mobility vehicle does more than bring users from one destination to another. According to Joon-Yeop Bae, the designer of Volvo Space, the vehicle concept aims to create a comfortable and compact space with modularity at the forefront of its design features and functionality. The designer was inspired by today's mobile homes and futuristic design.
