August Tea is a company that is dedicated to "pioneering tea as a modern American culinary experience."

Through their travels, August founders Aaron Shin and Gina Zupsich came to realize how much Western tea was lacking. They seek to change all that by offering a refined and sophisticated drinking experience with the August Uncommon tea. The Winter 2014 Tea Collection features unique flavors of smoke, spice and pine that will warm you warm on the most frigid evenings.

The August branding strategy needed to reflect the company's commitment to excellence. The individual name of each tea is printed onto matte black pouches and ceramic receptacles. The only contrast in the entire design comes from an electric green logo that pulsates against the dark background, giving the packaging an almost celestial quality.
