The Conceptual Audi AI:ME Has a Level 4 Autonomous Design

The face of urban transportation will change dramatically in the near future as autonomous technologies are realized, which is being supported by new visions like the Audi AI:ME vehicle.

Unveiled at Auto Shanghai 2019 as a Level 4 autonomous vehicle, the car is capable of offering passengers an inviting space that is a tranquil escape from the cityscape it traverses. The vehicle is capable of seamlessly providing transportation for private owners using an electric powertrain that delivers 170 horsepower or 125 kW.

The conceptual Audi AI:ME vehicle is positioned for urban environments and is focused on slower speeds given the constraints that the landscape inherently features. The vehicle can be manually driven, if desired, to keep it as driver-focused as possible during the shift towards autonomous transportation.
