Self-driving cars continue to proliferate, as a result, autonomous driving technologies are taking shape. It is becoming clear that autonomous driving is increasing in popularity and consumer interest. The technology could have an impact across many different industries. One example of this would be Volvo's autonomous buss design, as cities could use this technology to bolster public transportation. Volvo's autonomous bus is eclectic and has a capacity of 93 people. Autonomous buses would mean better and cheaper transportation for many people.
Another use of autonomous driving technology is in construction. The Built Robotics Construction Vehicles are fully autonomous and do not require a human operator. Implementing this technology would increase efficiency and cut down construction costs.
