Aston Manor Has Shifted to 100% Recycled Plastic Bottles

Cider brand Aston Manor has announced a shift to 100% recycled plastic bottles across both its Crumpton Oaks and Frosty Jack's ranges in a bid to reduce its carbon emissions and save plastic. The company reports its packaging update will save 122-tonnes of virgin plastic each year, which converts to about 1.8-million bottles or roughly 261-tonnes of carbon dioxide for its Frosty Jack's range. The Crumpton Oaks range will save 82-tonnes of virgin plastic and boast a reduction in carbon dioxide of 175-tonnes.
Marketing Controller Calli O'Brien spoke on the new Aston Manor packaging update saying, "Aston Manor is so proud to be one of the first alcohol manufacturers to make the move into 100% recycled PET across our branded portfolio. The changes to our Frosty Jack’s, Crumpton Oaks and Knights lines represent an effective, scalable solution to helping us continue to remove original plastic in our packaging, or to use 100% recycled materials.”
