ARTTA Concept Studio created this design for a self-serve eatery called 'Gachi by Kimchee BBQ.' The restaurant is designed to combine the themes of a traditional Korean BBQ joint with the cozy nature of home dining.
In order to convey the do-it-yourself theme, the ARTTA Concept Studio utilized an open-concept idea, which is typically seen inside modern homes. The dining area is combined with the cooking area, which allows guests to select and prepare their own dishes. The idea behind this dining concept is to create an atmosphere of a "food factory where everything is revealed with concrete floor, exposed pipes and wide open kitchen area."
With a bold color scheme of red, grey and black the entire eatery is dark, sophisticated and comfortable. However, there is also lots of artificial light to ensure guest are properly preparing their meals.
