Los Angeles-based artist Christine McConnell has took it upon herself to create an entirely edible replica of her parents home. Made of chocolate layers and buttercream frosting, the small cake appears much like a model of a small abode.
Originally constructed in the 1900s, the home that McConnell focuses on here is full of old school charm. Family portraits and antique furniture fill the interior, giving way to the residential feel that is so central to this project.
Numerous snapshots of the original home are coupled with this creative dessert. Whether decorated at Halloween or Christmas, what remains central to the property is its old-fashioned charm. McConnell has delivered a bit of that appeal via glowing windows and ornate piping.
