Screen-Printed Chocolate Tiled Rooms

MoMA Unveils the New Chocolate Room Exhibition by Ed Ruscha

The Museum of Modern Art in New York City hosts the dynamic installation dubbed the Chocolate Room Exhibition by artist Ed Ruscha. This is a part of the overarching showcased dubbed Now Then and it is essentially an immersive art experience made from chocolate wallpaper as a sensory experience for visitors.

The paper tiles are screen-printed with the sweet and the process is just as intricate as the result. The Callebaut couverture chocolate chips are first melted and then carefully poured into a large silk screen. The chocolate is transferred to paper to then be dried before it is layered into the walls. The aroma of the room is just as one would imagine, with an intoxicating space for chocolate lovers.
