The Arganzuela Footbridge looks more like a huge art piece than a practical pedestrian path. This spiraling metal structure was recently completely in Madrid, Spain.
Designed by Dominique Perrault Architecture, the Arganzuela Footbridge does not only jazz up its surroundings in a subtle yet efficient way, it also encourages people to walk more through areas that were not necessarily easily accessible by foot.
The Arganzuela Footbridge's design pretty much speaks for itself. I like how it lets in a lot of natural light while also giving the users a great view of the city. Aside from that detail, the Arganzuela Footbridge's sculptural presence is what I love the most about this architectural feat.
