Triple Path Footbridges

The Three Waves Footbridge Has Three Steel Pathways That Rise and Fall

The Three Waves Footbridge is conceived as a pedestrian crossing composed of undulating steel ribs that form three distinct walking paths. The structure uses curved steel elements welded into wave-like frames that support horizontal decking for each trail. Each of the three paths follows a separate vertical rhythm along the bridge span, creating alternating high and low points as pedestrians traverse the length. The steel ribs are fabricated to create smooth transitions between elevations while maintaining structural continuity along the crossing.

Decking surfaces are installed within the wave frames and include anti-slip materials for pedestrian safety. The bridge’s support piers are positioned at regular intervals to distribute loads and anchor the steel framework into the ground. The design emphasizes modular steel fabrication, with components pre-cut and bent off-site before on-site assembly. The footbridge concept is presented as a sculptural infrastructure intervention where circulation paths physically rise and fall through engineered steel waves.
