MEC has just released this year's 'Anniversary Cornice Jacket' with a few tweaks and updates. In 1993, Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) released its original 'Cornice' fleece, which has remained a fan favorite amongst tree-planters and avid outdoorsy folks. The fleece was re-released in 2021 with a few updates, including 100% recycled fabric and Bluesign approved materials.
The fleece comes completed with underarm vents, taffeta overlays in high-wear spots, a wind-proof collar, velcro cuffs, and an adjustable cord hem. The 'Cornice' is a suitable underlayer for a cold winter night or as a jacket for a brisk summer evening. The 'Cornice' fleece comes in a Regal Purple or Black in women's sizes, as well as in a Blue Spruce or Black in men's sizes. The product retails for CAD 109.95.
