This animal hospital design by Alma-nac is a new solution in the city of London for all-hour emergency care. The design of The London Animal Hospital (TLAH) boasts all of the regular services offered by a veterinary practice, along with space for surgeries, pets to be isolated, as well as machines and scanners.

One of the most distinctive features of the space is the way in which it has been arranged to keep pets calm, specifically by keeping dogs and cats separate. The longstanding rivalry between dogs and cats is playfully referenced with furniture pieces that say "cats only please" and separate routes that lead to back rooms. Although visiting the vet can be a stressful experience for pets, TLAH incorporates areas for play into consultation rooms to encourage pets to stay at ease.
