This ambulance station is located in the town of Zeist in the Netherlands and works to create a soothing environment for those who work in this medical field.
It is no surprise that paramedics tend to have stressful, high-stakes jobs in which they are always expected to perform at their highest level. This ambulance station is designed to give the workers a break in between trying to save people's lives. The structure is set in the middle of a natural forest environment, is made from wood and has floor to ceiling windows that allow people sitting in the lounge area to enjoy the view.
This ambulance stations has two functions -- to house ambulances while they are not in use and to ensure that paramedics are able to rest and relax while on the job.
