The Fortnum & Mason Amalthea Experimental Series Pineapple Rum has been developed by the distillery as a tropical, exotic expression that further elevates the Caribbean nature of the spirit.
The spirit features a fresh pineapple recipe that's achieved with the fruit being hand-cut and batch-dried before being macerated and split between five cask-aged Caribbean rums. The spirit thus features tropical tasting notes with pastry and baking spice notes throughout to work well on its own or in a variety of Tiki-style recipes. The spirit comes with food pairing suggestions including marinated chicken, barbecue dishes and roasted pineapple desserts.
The Fortnum & Mason Amalthea Experimental Series Pineapple Rum is limited to 100 bottles and is arriving in the UK in 50cl bottles with a 46% ABV priced at £40.
