Alex Israel Collaborates with RIMOWA on a Set of Suitcases
Amy Duong — February 6, 2019 — Art & Design
Multimedia artist Alex Israel works in collaboration with luxury luggage label RIMOWA on a series of limited edition suitcases. The travel essentials boast vibrant hues adorned in a gradient pattern -- the selected hues are inspired by cotton candy, boasting light tones of pink and blue.
The inspiration behind this is drawn from the artist's signature paintings of sky backdrops. The iconic aluminum-crafted shells are adorned in varying hues of light orange, pink, purple, and blue, all coming together to recall Los Angeles' sunrises and sunsets. There are two style options in total -- a sky-blue iteration that fades to pink or a pink to blue version. The new collaborative RIMOWA x Alex Israel suitcase collection will be available between February 14th-16th.
