Aldi UK and Neighbourly Partnered to Support Summertime Meals

— July 14, 2025 — Social Good
Aldi UK and Neighbourly have partnered as part of the supermarket's initiative to support good nutrition this summer for those who need it.

The partnership will see the grocer utilizing the community giving platform to redistribute its surplus foods to benefit local charities and food banks alike. The partnership comes at a timely manner given that food bank demand traditionally spikes during the summer holidays, which calls for more support than ever. The initiative will also allow shoppers to donate food to local food banks, charities and community groups by utilizing the in-store community donation points.

Neighbourly CEO Steve Butterworth spoke on the Aldi UK and Neighbourly partnership saying, "Summer holidays represent one of the busiest times of the year for charities and food banks, and we expect no less this year. Aldi’s generous donations play a key role in helping support families, and our partnership continues to make a meaningful difference to those who need it most.”
