The AirMax 270 React In My Feels sneaker from Nike was designed by Liz Beecroft, a Millennial influencer, psychotherapist and sneakerhead who is passionate about mental health awareness. The brightly colored sneaker does include the classic Nike swoosh on its sides but it appears distorted and wavy as if shaken and uncertain, representing the non-linear journey of healing and living with a mental illness.
On the purpose of co-creating this Nike shoe, Beecroft wanted to remind people that their feelings are vaild, that they don't need to suffer by themselves and most of all, "It’s okay to feel the feels."
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these limited Nike AirMax 270 React In My Feels sneaker benefit the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.
