At first I didn't understand the connection between Adam Silverman's Faena Nueva pottery collection and bull-fighting until I read on and discovered that it simply symbolizes the violence and ugliness of the sport.
Considering that each piece in Adam Silverman's Faena Nueva collection isn't that particularly pretty, I eventually got it. The ceramics are also modeled after the colors of the matador outfits, while the cracked surface obviously represents the violence of the sport.
