Car-Customizing Stories

The Acura Instagram Account Lets Buyers Personalize Their Own Vehicle

Plenty of automakers let customers personalize their vehicles online, but the Acura Instagram account is the first to let buyers customize their cars via Instagram Stories. Teaming up with top Instagram influencers and artists, the Acura Instagram account recently released a unique sticker pack that includes wheels, accessories and A-Spec packaging for the automaker's 2019 ILX sports sedan. Some of the influencers and artists featured in the sticker pack include Pablo Rochat, Sean Charmtz, Lucy Turnbull, and Dieselraptor.

According to Acura social media manager Jessica Fini, this initiative on the Acura Instagram account is meant to capture more Millennial buyers. This focus eventually lead to the sticker pack and interactive feature, as a means of leveraging social media platforms to form an association with the brand.
